Coin Vault

First run

The backend seeds roughly seventy coins from the bundled catalogue, then walks them against Numista to fill in mintage, composition and images. The seed is idempotent, so restarting during enrichment is safe.

Authentication

There is one password, set as VAULT_PASSWORD, and a signing secret for the session cookie. There are no user accounts; this is designed for one collector on a private network.

Adding a coin outside the catalogue

Coins not in the bundled seed can be added by Numista identifier. The backend fetches the record and stores it alongside the seeded ones.

Backups

Everything lives in the database volume. Stop the stack and copy the volume, or dump it with the backend's export endpoint.
