Backend issues should say which surface, which stage of the funnel, and whether the index had been rebuilt recently.
Architecture discussion
Questions about the funnel, signal weighting or the item-store design belong in Discussions where they stay readable.
Security disclosure
Report anything touching the signal pipeline or stored user history privately.
Before you ask
- Confirm the ANN index was built after the last embeddings job. Stale indexes look like bad ranking.
- Say which surface you are on. The stages are shared but the weights are not.
- Read the refinement plan before filing an architecture issue; it records what is already done.
